The offshoring edition of The Outsourcing Journal focuses on Offshore Engineering among other topics. We contributed to this edition our article about electronics design in the Eastern Europe and shared our knowledge on the first contract developers and electronics design houses in the CIS. Our software engineer Vladimir Trubilov wrote an article about the NetBSD operating system for Evertiq New Media. He analyzed the main features of this OS in comparison with other systems in BSD-family and showed an example of a NetBSD installation process (including configuration of drivers on our mini-server IP-Plug, while comparing NetBSD with Linux). The conclusion of this article is as follows: NetBSD can be used in embedded systems thanks to its open source code, ease of launch and availability of necessary software packages.
