The main goal of the project was to develop an onboard data logger, a portable device for monitoring and diagnostics of the vehicle’s technical condition with such functions, as logging the route of the vehicle, recording conversations between passengers in the passenger compartment and transmitting all information over a wireless channel to the control and coordination center.

Promwad developed an onboard multimedia computer for GPS navigation, allowance for time spent in traffic along the route, climate control system management, personal address book management, audio playback from USB storage devices and iPods. Multi-language voice navigation control, radio and music playback were implemented. The device was developed for a European system integrator and manufacturer of automotive components.
