Multi-language voice navigation control, radio and music playback were implemented. The device was developed for a European system integrator and manufacturer of automotive components.

The goal of the project was to show off Android operating system on demo board used for presentation purposes. Adapt Linux kernel to target hardware and run Android on it. Additionally, following a customer’s request, Linux kernel was configured to enable USB OTG Host mode for support of removable USB devices like mouse or USB stick. After all Linux porting efforts, the customer obtained Android demonstration embedded platform with required functionality and within strict project schedule. |

An innovative platform Pegasus was developed for digital signage displays and information displays. Full Linux support was provided for the whole set of chips and interfaces installed on the Pegasus platform, as well as external modules and daughter-boards. Also, an embedded Linux distribution was developed, with a set of applications that demonstrate the hardware platform capabilities. |

A universal audio streaming player prototype is successfully completed. The circuit board is based on Blackfin ADSP-BF533 processor from Analog Devices, Inc. The platform contains USB 2.0 (Host, OTG, Slave), Wi-Fi, CFII+, Ethernet 10/100 BaseT, S/PDIF, RS-232 interfaces. The board support package (BSP) is developed on the basis of uCLinux operating system. BSP comprises memory drivers, USB mass-storage controller driver and energy-saving mode control driver. Several drivers have been additionally adjusted to the Blackfin platform. |

Promwad team has developed a device prototype for video recording in JPEG2000 format on the basis of ADV202 BF-Expander debugging kit for Russian company - developer and manufacturer of midget systems for digital recording of audio and video information. The prototype allows video recording in Motion JPEG2000 format to USB Flash drive. We developed a program module, which saves frames received from ADV202 to a video stream. To support hardware compression of JPEG2000 Promwad team developed ADV202 driver. |

We have developed a controlling software for 4D-Cinema platform on the basis of motor controller board for russian company “The Planet of Attractions” Ltd. The basis of platform controlling software is the algorithm for calculating motor rotation angles depending on platform’s space location. The usage of BlackFin BF532 allowed implementing all necessary calculations in time intervals acceptable for device’s work without any problems. |

Promwad has completed custom-designed operating program for advertising
display controllers for the leading Russian enterprise that
produces large and extra-large LED information and advertising
displays. This software platform is based on SUSE Linux10.2 operating
system. It contains display emulator with preview function. The
operating program allows working with different resolutions of
advertising displays and it supports various image color modes.
The user’s interaction with internal functions of visualizer is
provided via graphical Web-interface. |

The developed system is based on a specialized Linux OS distribution containing Open Source applications required for playback of a great number of graphical, video and office file types: MPEG, WMV, AVI, MOV, VOB, QT, ASF, JPG, GIF, PNG, TTF, BMP, SWF, HTML, PDF, ODP, PPT. The system supports Split Screen mode to display several applications at the same time. Added functionality for event logging, which allows generating various reports on the content played back. |
