On May 27, Almaty hosted a workshop Individual Solutions, Additional Benefits. Let's go! as a part of KITEL-2011. Organizers of the event: Promwad innovation company, SemiDevices (OEM-producer) and AK-Systems. The key topics: custom electronic development, digital TV and datacom devices.

Presentations drew interest of the leaders of Kazakhstan companies. By the way, most of them visited Kitel-2011 not as exhibitors or guests but as attendees of the declared workshop.

The reporters covered issues of custom electronic development (Promwad), OEM-production and sale of set-top box reference designs (SemiDevices), thin clients and mini-servers supply (AK-Systems). Such harmonious combination of these companies’ specializations can provide Kazakh region with a wide range of services for multimedia, navigation and datacom electronics markets.

Promwad Electronics Design Center has extensive experience in developing consumer electronics for mass production on EU markets and in North America. The attendees of the workshop expressed their readiness to use this experience for making new unique products in Kazakhstan.

Unfortunately, the Kitel Exhibition itself was not so crowded. Exhibitors’ booths did not cover even half an exhibition hall. This fact triggers concern about the future of the event. Nevertheless, there are companies that are ready to make their contribution to its development as they find Kazakh region promising.
