April 12-14, Promwad Electronics Design Centre presents its new developed devices at the international exhibition-forum Innovation and Technology - 2011: electronics for digital TV, multimedia and navigation.

The first exhibit is the GPS Compass Location Finder, an original device, designed by Promwad engineers for easy and convenient navigation. It allows marking current user’s location and returning to it by direct or alternative route. GPS Compass Location Finder was developed for low-price segment, and therefore may be used by large groups of potential consumers (residents of large cities, retirees, fishermen, tourists, etc.).

Another exhibit designed by Promwad Innovation Company is the Media Stream player, developed for a Canadian manufacturer of slot machines. Media Stream can be used in public places (bars, restaurants, etc.). It allows playing licensed music tracks (protected format WMA). The tracks will be transferred from server to the Media Stream player via Ethernet and WiFi. Additionally the device has a function of CD / DVD playback and can be used as a home music center.

Also Promwad introduces set-top boxes based on the HD-chips from ST Microelectronics in the line of devices developed for digital TV. These STB were designed by requests of Russian OEM- electronics manufacturer:

• STB based on the STi7167 processor (DVB-T broadcast format),
• IPTV set-top box based on the STi7105 chip.
