''Iron Linux'' – Promwad’s Motto at the Vth International LVEE Conference

 The participation in international conference of developers and users of open software - Linux Vacation/Eastern Europe (LVEE 2009) - has already become a tradition for Promwad Innovation Company. This year Promwad participated as a sponsor of the event and also presented technical reports based on practical examples. This year it was a fifth event and took place from 2nd July – 5th July 2009.
The phrase “Iron Linux” had become a motto for Promwad Innovation Company when preparing reports for V International LVEE conference. Company’s employees presented a range of presentations, the main goal of which was to show to the audience uncommon examples of application of Linux on different hardware platforms, or, in other words, show “Linux life forms in hardware and how to locate it there”.

One of the main traditions on this event is the selection and awarding of the best report. This year the public elected as the best the report of "Free telecommunications platform Asterisk" by Maxim Litnitsky (Moscow, Russia). The author of the report received a commemorative award from the organizing committee and a special prize from Promwad - Motorola cell-phone, which is operating on the basis of OS Linux.

International meeting and conference “Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe” is held in Belarus for the fifth year already and unites communication and leisure of open software enthusiasts.
The goal of LVEE is exchange of experience between specialists in designing, developing, applying, supporting and promoting Open Source solutions, and also attracting broader layers of IT community to public dialog about possibilities of open software, about problems, emerging during the process of software implementation, and ways how to solve them. |
