Promwad Starts Cooperation with Samsung Distributor in Russia

Aiming at the cutting edge technologies Promwad promotes application of Samsung SoCs in new prospective products. It provides technical support for Samsung processors for the customers of its strategic partner in Russia MT System Co. Promwad electronics design house and MT-System Co., Samsung distributor in Russian region, have established a strategic partnership.

The main ideas of joint activities are to

implement modern Samsung ARM-based SoC solutions in high-end digital products,

provide MT-System customers with comprehensive technical support for Samsung processors that will cover aspects of embedded OS porting and drivers development,

design new product line for multimedia, advertising, PoS-terminal and automation applications based on Samsung processor units.

Promwad is a pioneer in adoption and investigation of S3C6410 processor from Samsung among Russian contract developers. For this matter SMDK6410 Samsung development board was used. Promwad embedded engineers have successfully ported and installed Linux OS and provided board support package (BSP) for S3C6410 processor.
