Forum Production of Electronics in Russia: The Role of Industrial Design in Creating a Product

Within International Industrial Exposition Russian Industrialist in St. Petersburg Publishing House ELEKTRONIKA organized a forum Production of Electronics in Russia. The forum’s business agenda included conferences on Contract Development and PCBs and a seminar on the following topics: RoHS and other Ecologic Directions, Provision of Electronics Production, Production of Cases. Also, they organized an exhibition of contract developers and suppliers of technological equipment.

The forum united Russian manufacturers of electronic equipment, contract manufacturers, contract electronics developers, suppliers of technological equipment and materials, and also suppliers of CAD systems. Among the main participants of the forum there were technical directors, chief engineers, chief designers, chief technologists, project and area managers, consultants, journalists from trade mass-media.

Within the cooperation program with the Publishing House ELEKTRONIKA Promwad representatives, Vladimir Nichyparovich and Oleg Dolnikoff, made a report on the topic The Role of Industrial Design in Creating a Product at the seminar on Production of Cases.

From the report the listeners got to know how industrial design can contribute to product promotion, how it can influence cost and sales impact. The reporters showed the public how industrial design can help to minimize the costs and how to use available resources more rationally during product manufacture. They answered the question at what development stage it is more optimal for a designer to join the development process.

As a result a collection of abstracts and reports including Promwad’s report will be published. The last one will serve as a basis for an article on industrial design that will be published at a specialized Russian magazine.
