On June 1-3, the Promwad Electronics Design Center will take part in Navitech-Expo-2011, a specialized international exhibition held at the Expocenter (Moscow). The event is devoted to satellite navigation in Russia and the CIS countries.
Leading manufacturers and developers of navigation equipment and software will present their products at this exhibition. For Promwad, Navitech-Expo will become a platform for presenting products developed for Russian and foreign customers:
GPS/GLONASS Time Synchronizer
This device was developed by Promwad engineers for a Russian large-scale holding company.
The time synchronization system sends information on the exact time from the reference source to all network elements. It is designed for use at industrial sites, communication hubs, control points and other locations which require information on the exact current time.
The time synchronizer uses the signals of GLONASS and GPS global navigation systems. It is configured and monitored via a web interface. The device can operate as a time server in Ethernet networks via NTP and/or PTP protocols.
A three days’ shift of the synchronizer’s autonomous scale does not exceed ±300 msec.
Multipurpose vessel control system panel
The device is designed for a scientific research institution in the shipbuilding industry and it helps control longitudinal movement, dynamic positioning and automated docking of vessels. The product’s hardware platform is a GLONASS/GPS navigation receiver.
Promwad engineers conducted bench and field tests on their development, using mathematical modeling and prototyping of automatic and semiautomatic vessel control systems.
GPS Location Finder Compass
The location finder is an electronic compass which was custom-designed for a Russian manufacturer of OEM electronics. The device is based on the GPS technology and used for easy and convenient terrain navigation. The compass marks the user's current location and helps return to the starting point via a direct or alternative route. The device targets the low-end market, and the target user group includes city dwellers, pensioners, fishermen and tourists.
Spyplug for Saving GPS\OBD\Audio Data in Vehicles
This device can be called a vehicle’s ‘black box’. It is a module of control and diagnostics of the vehicle’s technical condition. Spyplug records the vehicle’s route (based on GPS data) and passengers’ conversations in the cabin, logs the results of the vehicle’s technical condition diagnostics and then sends the information to the logistics center (via Wi-Fi). The number of parameters recorded depends on the vehicle’s on-board system. The most commonly recorded parameters include:
- Temperature of the coolant,
- Revolutions per minute (engine speed),
- Amount of fuel,
- Vehicle speed,
- Status of the air-conditioning system, etc.
The device is installed in a diagnostic connector in the passenger compartment of any car with OBD support. Spyplug is just a little bigger than the size a matchbox.
On-Board Auto Computer
The device was custom-designed for one of the leading European automakers. Its basic functions include: navigation, CD changer and diagnostics of the vehicle’s technical condition. Also, voice control is available.
The Promwad Innovation Company will also present its services in electronic development and embedded systems based on the GPS\GLONASS technology. You can learn more about the event from experts at the site: Expocenter, Pavillion 7, Hall 1, Stand D45 (shared with ÀÒÎÌÀ).
