The results of our participation in the ARM-Conference by TI & MT-System

From the 27th to 28th of October Moscow held the ARM-conference organized by the world vendor Texas Instruments (TI) and MT-System, the Russian distributor of electronic components. Experts from Promwad Innovation Company took part in this event and presented their reports, which reflected company experience of working with the TI components:
- Yauhen Kharuzhy presented the topic Porting Linux to a New Hardware Platform, in which he described the main stages of the operating system installation, including porting of the Linux Kernel, X-Loader, U-Boot. He also told about pitfalls of these processes. A practical example, which was presented in the report: mobile handheld device for measuring fiber-optic lines, built on the TI chip.
- Vladimir Davydov presented the topic Arago. Linux for TI Chips, in which he described Arago and also shared his views on the advantages and disadvantages of this open source project.
