Promwad visits CSTB'2012 (Moscow) and plans to make appointments with partners and potential clients.

On March 30, 2012, Moscow will host the annual Digital Electronics Developers Forum, DEDF-2012. The keynote theme of the event is Systems-on-Chip in Multimedia and Portable Devices. Examples of Electronics Development Based on Linux and Android. The organizers invite technical experts to register as auditors and speakers of the forum by filling out an application form at dedf.promwad.com. Participation is free, but the number of places is limited.

At the end of 2011 Moscow hosted the first IPC training in Russia. Promwad specialists took part in this event, passed the exam successfully and received IPC CID certificates. These documents warrant high-quality expert knowledge and experience of Promwad electronics design house specialists.

Promwad Innovation Company has become an official partner of Texas Instruments and joined the international network of design houses that develop electronics based on TI components and solutions. This partnership gives Promwad clients additional benefits as to reduced time and development costs, access to the latest TI technologies, etc.

December 10, 2011 – The official closing of 2011 Adventure Racing Season took place in Minsk surroundings (the railway station “Zelenoye”). The organizers were the community of travelers from www.poehali.net and the team of Promwad Tour. The event was sponsored by Promwad Innovation Company.

Orion Restaurant and Club hosted the final of Miss IT 2011, the 5th Annual Contest of Beauty and Intelligence among the workers of Belarusian IT companies. Pavlenko Maria, office-manager, Promwad, won the title of Miss Grace IT 2011.

On November 25—26, 2011, Minsk hosted the VIIth International Business Conference “TOP-management: Smart Money”. Roman Pakholkov, CEO of Promwad Innovation Company, and Juliya Vinogradova, CFO, took part as the guest experts in this event for business owners and TOP-managers from Russia, Belarus, the Ukraine, Baltic States and other countries.

November 24, 2011 – Promwad Electronics Design House will take part in the presentation Discover IT Belarus in the capital of Bavaria, the German city Munich. The purpose of this event is a demonstration of capabilities, experience and knowledge of Belarusian IT companies during the meeting with representatives of German business. The Belarusian IT industry will be represented by Promwad, SaM Solutions, Intetics, IntexSoft Ltd., LeverX, Softeq Development and Tieto. The organizer of this meeting is the COMMIT Group with the assistance of the Belarusian Embassy in Germany, the Bavarian cluster of information and communication technologies BICC and the Belarusian High Technologies Park (HTP).

From the 27^th to 28^th of October Moscow held the ARM-conference organized by the world vendor Texas Instruments (TI) and MT-System, the Russian distributor of electronic components. Experts from Promwad Innovation Company took part in this event and presented their reports, which reflected company experience of working with the TI components

From the 26^th to 28^th of October the Czech capital was hosting participants of the first LinuxCon Europe combined with the Embedded Linux Conference Europe (ELCE), the Linux Kernel Summit and the GStreamer Developers Conference. The total number of participants exceeded 500 people; among them was Ivan Kuten, the head of the Promwad R&D Department.

On November 1—3, 2011, Promwad is to unveil its new projects at the competition, The Best Electronics and Microelectronics Products 2010-2011, which is part of the Russian Week of Electronics. Exhibitors and visitors will be shown the latest developments by national engineers.

Today there is a very popular pattern for the creation of new products for the electronics market in Russia. It looks like this: a company buys a ready-made OEM device* or hardware platform in South-East Asia or at a local market, after which it creates a new product based on it.

On October 26–28, Prague (Czech Republic) holds the largest European Linux Conference – LinuxCon Europe 2011. It is combined with a traditional Embedded Linux Conference Europe (ELCE) which is a specialized event for the experts in embedded systems. Ivan Kuten, Promwad’s expert and the head of R&D department, attends LinuxCon/ELCE this year.

October 27–28, Moscow hosts one of the largest ARM Conferences in Russia. Promwad’s partners, world chip vendor Texas Instruments (TI) and electronic components distributor MT-System, are the organizers of the event.

Harvard Business Review Russia (HBR), a popular business edition in Russia, has opened a blog by Roman Pakholkov, the founder and head of Promwad Innovation Company.

Anton Tonkovich, a Promwad expert in digital TV technologies, contributed an article to Tele-Sputnik Magazine on the over-the-air update of STB software. The material was published in the ninth September edition.

From June 1^st to 3^rd, Expocenter hosted the Navitech-Expo 2011 International Exhibition and the International Satellite Navigation Forum.

June 1, 2011 – The sports complex Minsk-Arena hosted the annual charity concert Touch to Life. The event was organized by the eponymous charitable foundation with the support of Peacekeeping Forces of the Cossack Guard and numerous volunteers, including Promwad employees Marya Skorbenko, Dmitry Petruchenya and Kateryna Lysionak.

On May 27, Almaty hosted a workshop Individual Solutions, Additional Benefits. Let's go! as a part of KITEL-2011. Organizers of the event: Promwad innovation company, SemiDevices (OEM-producer) and AK-Systems. The key topics: custom electronic development, digital TV and datacom devices.

On June 1-3, the Promwad Electronics Design Center will take part in Navitech-Expo-2011, a specialized international exhibition held at the Expocenter (Moscow). The event is devoted to satellite navigation in Russia and the CIS countries.

Almaty will be hosting a workshop, which is part of KITEL-2011, Individual Solutions, Additional Benefits. Let's go! at 12:20 on May 27. As previously reported, this event will be organized specifically for companies which work with multimedia, digital TV, datacom and navigation solutions.

Naliboki Forest will host Velcom Naliboki ‘11, a traditional marathon which will take place from 21 to 22 May. This event will be sponsored by the Promwad Innovation Company and Velcom, a mobile communications provider. This year the participants will enjoy the beauty of three new routes and test themselves in one of three sports disciplines - running, cycling (MTB) and water sports (canoe double).

Central Asian International Exhibition and Conference KITEL 2011 will be held from the 25th to 27th of May in Almaty (Kazakhstan). This is an annual event for professionals in the field of modern information technologies and communication tools. Different workshops will be provided within the Business Program to introduce to the participants new solutions in IT industry, share their experience and establish business contacts.

19 - 21 April Promwad Innovation Company participated as the exhibitor at "NEW ELECTRONICS -2011". By Promwad were presented devices, designed for the Russian and Canadian customers. Business program included the exposure of electronic components from leading Russian distributors, thematic stands, conferences, forums and seminars.

On April 19, 2011, Moscow hosted a conference under the topic of Strategic management in Russian tool-making enterprises. It was organized by the Modern Electronics Center. The list of conference speakers included Roman Pakholkov, President of the Promwad Innovation Company.

Innovations and Technologies 2011, an international exhibition forum, was closed in Moscow on April 14. The Promwad Innovation Company, an electronics design center, took an active part in this event and unveiled its developments made for Russian and Canadian customers. One of the exhibits, the GPS Location Finder Compass, became a winner of Open Opportunities 2011. This competition was held within the framework of the exhibition specially for innovation companies and individual inventors.

On April 7, Moscow hosted the conference Vehicle Instrumentation: Hardware and Technology Solutions. It was held within the framework of the Electronics-Transport business program. The Promwad Innovation Company took an active part in this event. Ivan Kuten, Head of the company’s Research and Development Department, made a special presentation, Application of integrated graphics controllers in onboard computers and instrument panels.

NEW ELECTRONICS 2011 will take place in Moscow from 19 to 21 April. It is an important event for experts working with electronic components (who make decisions about their use in new developments and are responsible for their supply). The exhibition geography includes Russia, USA, Germany, UK, Korea, China, Belgium and Belarus.

April 12-14, Promwad Electronics Design Centre presents its new developed devices at the international exhibition-forum Innovation and Technology - 2011: electronics for digital TV, multimedia and navigation.

Electronics-Transport 2011 is a national exhibition which will take place in Moscow on April 6–8 (All-Russia Exhibition Center, pavilion 69). This event welcomes experts in electronics, control systems and vehicle instrumentation.

The Second Digital Electronics Developers Forum, DEDF-2011, took place in Moscow on March 3. This major event for technology experts brought together 115 participants including auditors and speakers representing Russian and Belarusian companies. The Forum’s central theme was Practical Applications of Systems-on-chip in Multimedia and Portable Electronics.

November, 23 – Promwad Innovation Company participated in the traditional seminar Windows Embedded Day, which was organized by our partner Quarta Technologies in Minsk. This event was focused on managers and specialists of electronic devices development, manufacturers, as well as designers of hardware platforms based on operating systems Microsoft Windows Embedded.

A team of Promwad engineers continues their contributions to open source software development. So, at the initiative of our Linux specialist the package GPSD was added to the main repository of the buildroot project. Thanks to this buildroot extension users can form firmware package based on Embedded Linux with support of various GPS / GLONASS receivers.

Promwad is going to take part in IBC2010 international show (Amsterdam, Netherlands) as exhibitor. IBC takes place at Amsterdam RAI from 10th to 14th of September. IBC 2010 (which is short for International Broadcasting Convention) is one of the leading annual European shows for broadcasting technologies and entertaining industry.

Promwad electronics design center together with MT System, the official supplier of Samsung electronic components on the Russian market, have announced about the launch of Support Centre of Samsung Processors ― the first joint online-project for Russian developers and engineers.

One of the leading Embedded System engineers of Promwad, Sergei Kovalev, shares his experience in development of electronic devices and systems for digital signage, this popular worldwide growing industry. Taking the recent company projects and the best examples of software and hardware innovations, he presented his own vision of the industry prospects in The Electronic Components Magazine.

On 23—25 March 2010 in London an international forum in the field of broadcasting and telecommunications technologies IPTV World Forum London was held. Promwad Design Center took part in the exhibition.

A special edition of “Network solutions” magazine devoted to IV International “Linux Vacation \ Eastern Europe 2008” conference was recently published. The conference took place in June 2008 aiming to promoting ideas of developments on the basis of free software.

Promwad Company has finished the development of a multimedia control panel prototype for “Smart Home” systems control. The device is based on Cirrus Logic EP9307 processor running under Embedded Linux operating system. This project was performed for a European company engaged in “Smart Home” automation solutions.

Promwad Innovation Company acted as sponsor of IV International Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe 2008 (LVEE 2008) conference for developers and users of free software held 26-29 June 2008 in Hrodna region, Belarus.

LVEE is held annually starting from 2005 and promotes ideas of developments on the basis of free software in the Republic of Belarus, and unites specialists and enthusiasts in this industry. Participants of the conference have a unique opportunity to know about modern tendencies of Open Source development, new possibilities and solutions.

On 28-29th June close to Krupki town, in "Velikoe Boloto" stow, another race of the same name with the event's venue - "Velikoe boloto" was held. This is the second event during the year within the "Promwad Tour '08" Adventure Races Cup. Analog Devices Inc., a Technological Partner of Promwad Innovation Company, has published an article Interactive 4D Movie-Theatre with Blackfin-based Controller in the May, 08 issue of Embedded Processing & DSP e-Newsletter. The news describes about the successful implementation of the platform for interactive 4D-cinema established by Promwad Innovation Company. The proposed solution is based on the processor ADSP-BF532 Blackfin and has several preferences such as price, performance advantages and easy connection to the converters. It is suggested to locate 4D-Movie-Theatre as part of different amusement complexes, movie-theatres, museums, shopping centres etc.

Alongside with innovation activities in the sphere of electronics Promwad company actively contributes to the development of outdoor activities thus attracting the initiative and courageous both to join the company and take part in adventure races.

Promwad specialists wrote the article "Multimedia control panel for "smart house", which was published in 4th issue of "Modern electronics" magazine.

At the 10th International exhibition "Amusement Rides and Entertainments RAAPA 2008", dedicated to the amusement industry in Russia, held in Moscow, 9-11 April 2008, a new model of interactive 4D movie-theatre was shown. Game platform was developed by Promwad Innovation Company by the order of "The Planet of Attractions Ltd".

Promwad Company took an active part in "New Electronics of Russia" forum, where it was represented in "At the edge of technologies" nomination. During the forum, company director presented several reports, which aroused much interest among forum participants.

Promwad Innovation company has participated in the 10th International Conference "Digital Signal Processing and Its Applications - DSPA-2008" which was held in Moscow, March, 26th -28th , 2008. There were represented a lot of Research and Development of Russian and foreign institutes in the field of digital signal processing.

Promwad Company engineers participated in the Industrial Multimedia Partner Training organized by Analog Devices, Inc. for its technology partners in Moscow on 18th March, 2008.

Promwad Innovation Company has actively participated in the international specialized exhibition Embedded World 2008, held on 26th -28th February in Nuremberg, Germany.

By customer demand the Promwad company has developed an WiFi-ZigBee-USB expansion daughter board for popular development kit from Analog Devices ADSP-BF533 EZ-KIT Lite.

"Modern System-On-Chip" article was published in the 6th issue of "Modern Electronics" magazine.

Promwad company specialists developed, manufactured experimental models and performed bring-up of evaluation board on the basis of Cirrus Logic EP9307 processor. We developed the board with the aim to evaluate processor’s performance and its application in client projects with the use of PBD technology.
